Grange Park Cricket Club was founded in 2006 and became a member of South Northants Cricket League with the aim of setting up a new club with teams for both juniors and adults to compete in the Northampton Cricket Leagues.
The first season having started with winter nets in January 2006, the club had recruited more than 30 members by the end of their first season. With such a strong squad only managed to lose one league game the whole season and ended as runners up in division5. Managing promotion in their very first season with strong intend on doing the same this year.
In our first year we also managed to run some youth fun sessions and a mini six-a-side tournament for the youth of Grange Park, with MP Brian Binley attending to hand out the prizes.
Following on from a great first year the club will have two senior and 3 youth teams running this year, helped financially by various grants and local sponsors.
